I have been so very lucky to have a few IIs this cycle! However, I still have bills to pay. When they schedule these *MANDATORY* orientations in the middle of the day, like 10 - 1, that's half of the work day and awkward enough timing that it almost warrants taking the whole damn day off. I already have to take time off for the actual interview, so it all really adds up.

I can tell my supervisor is very happy for me but also very annoyed with how this is inconveniencing our department.
