Pro Athlete Sankey
-3.8 GPA, 513 MCAT
-105 Clinical Volunteering Hours
-400ish Non-Clinical Volunteering Hours
-50 Shadowing Hours
-Played D1 and Professional Athletics with lots of leadership roles
-Had some future hours in research, but none of it ended up panning out
Really posting this to show that having an "x-factor" matters only if you have the other things that a typical applicant to that program would have. Don't rely on an x-factor to get you to the finish line when it truly takes being good or at least average in every category. I am fortunate to have a couple acceptances to amazing schools, and I am ending up where I think I need to be.
