I mean they really are having to select not only people who are built for the role of a physician, but also will be committed enough to stick it out and succeed to keep the school's image alive and well. And with so many applicants, that's a really tough job and it's probably so stressful.

I understand you, adcoms. I empathize with you, medical schools. Tell you what, if it makes things easier for you, I'll be your guy. I'll join your medical school, stick it out, and make you guys look good. That's one less seat for you all to stress about. How does that sound fellas?
