My top school hasn’t sent any communication to me since I submitted my secondary in July and I would go to this school over any other offer. I’m starting to wonder if sending an letter of interest or intent at this point to explain the reasons why this school specifically is so important to me (close to home, partner is there, connections, etc). The application did not include a section for “why this school” for me to explain all the ties I have and why I want to go there, so it isn’t something they could deduce from my application. Does it come off presumptuous or annoying to send a letter if they haven’t even invited me for an interview? This school specifically states that they do not accept updates unless invited for an interview but does not address letters of interest or intent.
