Duke vs Northwestern

So so so torn rn any advice is appreciated. First-gen student OOS for both schools with no clue what i want to specialize in- considering urology/ent maybe?

75% tuition covered at Duke rn and 50% tuition covered at NW (awaiting new offer after phone call with dean) but assuming cost will be similar.

Duke

Pros:

-1 year preclinical

-built in research year

- strong sense of support and community from current students and admin

- personally enjoyed the facilities more

- slightly better match list

- true pass fail

Cons:

- less robust community health programs (truly what i am interested in pursuing)

- exams every other week/concerns about fast pace after gap years

- Durham- didn't hate it but does not compare to the lifestyle of Chicago- concerned i won't be as happy here

NW

Pros:

- community health driven- CHAI program is exactly the type of work i want to be doing

- AOSC mentorship

- Chicago- so diverse, so much to do, friends and family in the area

- T35 program for uro research

Cons:

- current students mentioned research accessibility concerns at first look

- students seem less excited about the school

- slightly weaker match list

- wasn't as huge of a fan of the facilities

- clinical is not pass fail
