I feel like this has been such a uniquely bizarre and long cycle, especially compared to my friends who matriculated pre-AI. I wonder if, instead of speeding things up, AI is paradoxically slowing the process by making it harder for Adcoms to make vibes-based decisions instead of ideal-AI decisions, if that makes sense. I've noticed a lot of acceptances going to the same groups of people, and I wonder if AI is to blame.

This could explain the slowness of waitlist pulls as they panic and realize that they've all accepted the same students ... I am probably totally wrong lol but I need some sort of framework to understand how I am still on four WLs right now and nothing is moving majorly
