Caribbean Schools...?
I've seen many people in my circle/acquaintances go to the Caribbean and match back in the US, so what's the big deal about going to the Caribbean? Sure, you can't match competitive specialties as easily as a USMD/DO (not that it's easy, but comparatively speaking), but you're basically a shoo-in for primary care specialties where you can make a minimum of 250k. If you're a decent student and put in the work, you can get through it.
I know someone who skipped undergrad by going to a 6-year program in the Caribbean, with tuition 10-20k per year, and this person will be matching to the US for residency before I even take Step 1, and I am a traditional student. They didn't have to take the MCAT or anything! Cheaper and quicker.
Is Caribbean not as bad as people make it out to be? Wondering what people think!
