I personally think Rush is super underrated here on Admit (#110!). They have extremely strong residencies for surgical sub specialties, especially Ortho, which is top 5 in the nation. Their IM residency, which people often use as a general benchmark for how strong a school’s clinical training is, is solid as well and comparable to, if not stronger than, Case, Einstein, or Rochester. Their home hospital is very well known and considered one of the best in Chicago, and they have affiliations with Cook County and other Chicago hospitals. Before US news stopped doing rankings, I know residency directors ranked Rush around the #30s-40s
