I think I've entered one of the most mentally draining scenarios this process can create ...
Quick summary, I have received 2 interviews. First for an OOS expensive school that would start after the BBB July 1st date (yay private loans :D). Second for an IS MUCH cheaper school that would start prior to the BBB July 1st date (grandfathered into the old loan system!). OOS school turned into a waitlist, IS school’s decision I should hear back next week. I think I’ve reached what I’m finding to be the toughest part mentally for me so far over this past (almost) year. And that’s knowing this one decision that’s coming up will drastically affect the next few months of my life.
If it’s an A I’m solid and I’ll choose the IS school and have time prep to move in like two months.
If it’s a waitlist, I would send a letter of intent to the IS school. There is still hope for an A but that means feeling a looming cloud over my head until May to see which school I get an A from. Who knows to which city and how long I would have to move… and that’s if I even get an A at all.
And if it’s a rejection, then the same thing would happen but then I’m banking on one school (that’s very expensive) and 100% need to prep for reapplication.
Trying to not think about it but super hard honestly :(
