What are the right takeaways from a post-interview rejection?
I got an interview as an OOS applicant to University of Washington. The odds for that last year was 82 out of 3,329. The odds of acceptance from there was 31/82.
I was rejected.
The interview went well from as far as I could tell. While I am technically OOS, I grew up in Washington and from every indication, am a very strong mission fit.
It's a bit hard to understand the right takeaways after clearing such a big hurdle, and then faltering in a much more modest one. What would you think if it were you?
