My cycle in brief: reapp, 0 IIs last year. 2 IIs late July -> WL. 1 II Oct -> R (OOS unfriendly though so not shocked).

I was so optimistic with the early IIs but now it’s been 4 months since I’ve heard any good news. I told myself I might get 1-2 more IIs post-holidays if I was lucky, since a lot of the schools ghosting me do interview into Feb-March, but I blinked and now we’re there and it looks like they’re mostly finishing up.

My dream school also continues to ghost me even though they’ve rejected most of their applicant pool, but honestly I’d rather have gotten the R in their first wave in Oct like I did last year if it’s just going to be an R ;( (shoutout to Dartmouth you’re very cool no hate but I am going slightly insane)

So now I’m studying to retake an expiring MCAT and preparing to reapply just in case the WLs don’t pan out, and it’s just so odd being in reapplication mode while knowing there’s a chance I could have to move halfway across the country last minute and start school in just a few months. At least with my 0 II cycle I knew I was taking a gap year.

It’s weird!
