How would you re-design the application process?
Obviously this cycle is messed up in so many ways. I am curious though if you had to make changes to it, what would they be?
- one is SHORTENING THIS CYCLE - ie maybe have all final school decisions set in stone and done by March.
- Also I'd eliminate CARS on the MCAT. It is kind of wack to me how classes like anatomy and physiology are not fully or technically required, yet we have to endure a good hour and a half showing we can read a bunch of random passages.
- Get rid of CASPER and PREVIEW because that's like a good $200 I could've spent on clothes or a fancy restaurant instead of a random worthless test.
- Maybe implement a system that limits how many schools you can apply to and where you can rank your top choices - simply cause in 5 years I feel like future applicants are going to have to apply to like 55+ schools at this rate.
