NO II's don't panic yet...
Came here to post this message. Hang in there and don't compare yourself to others.
I was in your shoes last cycle. Started with Rs and 'hold for interviews'. I got my 2 MD IIs in Nov and Feb. One WL turned into A in May and another was an A in April (yes was already preparing for reapp).
Cycle is long and waiting is frustrating. Keep doing what you are doing, senior year or gap, ECs-research, volunteering, hobbies, games etc. Spend time with fam and friends. Keep yourself busy to get your mind off this.
Send meaningful update letters in Nov/Dec. Reiterate mission fit and send key updates only or fall sem transcripts (if senior yr). Dont re-write a lengthy summary of your application again. If on WL and serious about that school-send letter of intent. School have limit on how many docs you can submit so use it wisely.
In case you are curious- Took my MCAT in June senior year, submitted primary early to get verified by the time I got my score back. Submitted mostly prewritten secondaries by labor day.
Adding stats -saw the ask below: MCAT 514, gpa 3.81, research with 2 posters, good ECs- shadowing, volunteering and leadership positions, ORM. Hope this helps.
Hang in there- all you need is ONE!!! Don't give up!!
