hello friends

i am sharing my sankey here as i am an mdphd applicant going straight through w/o gap years and i more or less did not know anyone who applied mdphd, had zero point of reference on the whole, and had no idea what to expect.

URM 526 3.9ish gpa w/ 1350 research hours at the time of application (~3200 now) in a small lab where i was assigned a project but was expected from the beginning to take control of it and come up with directions and drive the project forward myself. my main clinical experiences at the time of applying were around 200 hours of shadowing.

i am extremely grateful to have had the fortune that i had this cycle. i was told many times not to apply, or that my experience was not sufficient for MSTPs, but i believe that cohesive writing and clear ownership of the research in which i was involved really helped me a great deal. it has been a really interesting experience applying and interacting with this community and equally as i am grateful to everyone i see on here even though i mostly lurk, i am wishing all individuals anticipating WL decisions the best of luck!
