Please everyone give me your opinion

Hi everyone!

If all of you that come across this post can share your opinion with me I'd greatly greatly appreciate it!

I'm from Miami FL

I got accepted into UW Madison February and today I heard back from FSU that I got accepted into their bridge program which is essentially a 1 year masters program with direct entry into their med school assuming you complete the courses with good academic standing of course.

I know for some simply going to uw-madison would be the obvious choice considering its regular admission to their med school and initially that was my thought as well but i wanted to share some things that are making me overthink

CONS TO UW - MADISON:

- Im from FL to uw madison is super expensive for me (~95/yr) also have not received financial aid offer yet as they are wait till may i believe (from what i heard i could be wrong)

- Normally 3 hrs away on a flight (perfect) HOWEVER there are no direct flights from FL to Madison (how convenient for me) or even Milwaukee so its 6 hrs away instead. Not horrible but my family plans on visiting constantly so it's just an extra little barrier

-Far from my mom and dad. We are immigrants. its truly just us 3 in this country so its definitely hard on all of us. (not the biggest con as im sure its the experience for a lot of us and we are truly just lucky to even have this opportunity as immigrants).

PROS:

-Amazing academics and research

- Higher rated

- I START MED SCHOOL AUGUST (REGULAR ADMISSION)

PROS TO FSU:

-In state cost of attendance

- In state so close to my parents

CONS TO FSU:

- HAVE TO COMPLETE A 1 YR MASTERS FIRST

-Not as high rated/ not much research/ In the works of having a home hospital (Not much of a con considering they do away rotations and still have great match rates)

like i said, i know for some there would be an obvious answer but even just reading advice/opinions will help

thank you!
