It's not always tone deaf. This cycle is confusing and everyone's feelings are valid. People are stressed and this website is the best place for people to find people in similar situations, so let's not get rid of that.

That being said, if you are complaining about "only" having 5 t10 IIs, touch grass. But if you received 3 IIs early on but had silence for 6 weeks, confusion and stress is valid.
